Thread: NBA Team to Kentucky

What are people's thoughts on this? There are rumors popping up about this.

I don't believe that it will happen, not for awhile anyway. Most teams are doing fair to good except for a few (such as the Hornets) that they wish to keep in the town that they are in and rightfully so.

Do you think that an NBA team would succeed in Kentucky? I know that basketball is huge here but I'm not so sure that it would. I know that there are fans much like my father who love Kentucky basketball but even the UK players who go on to the NBA, he could care less. He only cares about the college team and I wonder if there would be people who would actually go to NBA games if it came to Louisville or Lexington. College basketball is so much more of a passionate game than the NBA (in my opinion) and I believe that passion is what fuels the basketball fever in this state.

I don't like the ideal personally. If they want one on Louisville then they can have it but for me Lex and UK is all the basketball we need. I think the pro game is watered down these days compared to what is was with MJ, Bird and Magic etc...
