DeMarcus Cousins simply for his output. With that said (and I am not hating by no means) he will receive some criticism for his behavioral out-lashes through the game. Passion? Intensity? Sure it is but there is a limit and when you cross that line it doesn't look good from everyone on the outside.

i completely agree. the kid is a hustler, and he works hard, but his passion leaks out in non-constructive ways sometimes. I think if him [Cousins] or Wall played for somebody else, the Big Blue Nation would hate their guts for there pretty little shows on the court. As it is, we love them for the entertainment.

I agree Cousins was the mvp of the vandy game...but he couldn't have done it without the hele pf his teammates.....i'm worried that his "passion" is going to get him in trouble one of these games.....

As if it were even a question, Cousins was by far the MVP of Saturday's game. I'm blown away with how far he's come, so quickly.

I think it has to be Patterson. He kept his cool and hit that huge 3 to pull us ahead. He went out and made the tough plays we needed. 13 rebounds don't hurt either.

I agree with Big Cuz ... but I also agree with Kentuckyrob when he says Pat Patt.. Patterson has hit a HUGE shot in our last 2 wins.. First the shot @ Miss St. to tie and then in the Vandy game ..just when we need him he comes through. I don't hate Wall at all ya'll BUT.. I think ppl just give him WAY to much praise. Yes he had a big block but the guy tried to shoot this three the very same way he shot and made the first one.. ball fake n all... I heard ALOT of " CLINGING" on our shots.. we are gonna have to BRING IT ... BRING IT... BRING IT ... EVERY game. I also for the FIRST time since Coach Cal has been coaching.... SCREAMED @ MY TV SCREEN WHEN HE CALLED THAT TIME OUT... WHAT WAS HE THINKING.... BUT He admitted it was the stupidest time out he ever called in his career... My husband was rolling on the floor when Cal said the VERY words I said when he called that time out... I love Kentucky Basketball ... and we have a great team but we gotta play better boyzzzzz... GO BIG BLUE

I agree that Cousins played a heck of a game. He done well with points this game even if his rebound average wasn't as high as normal. Patterson though, never receives the credit he deserves! He plays well in every game, works well under pressure, doesn't lose his head when the others do. They keep talking pro for John Wall...but I don't think he's ready. He has a lot of maturing to do and he needs to concentrate more on now instead of then. I think if any of the players are ready for pro...Patterson is their man!!

my vote would be for PPat! That guy has really come alive the last couple of games. back-2-back double doubles, the big shot to send miss st to OT, and a CLUTCH (I repeat CLUTCH!!!) 3 pointer to give us the lead @ vandy. How about him this season with the trey's!!!! That still blows my mind the way he's doin' that. I wait every game for that, and when it happens, whenever it comes, I know our 'Cats are gonna be alright!!!! GO BIG BLUE!!!

It was Patrick Patterson. He kept his cool had a double double and hit that 3 near the end of the game when it mattered most.

I agree Patterson. doing good not enough credit. Wall is not ready for pro either. He needs to concentrate on now. I mean yeah UK we got a killer team and we know it. But if u get to cocky and get to wrapped up in the fans and stuff u lose sight of the game and we will get beat just as SC beat us! Play ball for ur fans enjoy college and all u can be right now! Ignore the haters and do ur thing!

Re: Who was the MVP of the Vanderbilt game?

Patterson and Cousins played great in the Vandy win. Patterson showed flashes of being his old self again especially when Cousins was out of the game which really delighted me.

However, without a doubt, I think Wall was player of the game. Why? Well, he might not have scored the most points or even made the flashiest plays. And, he may have missed some crucial free throws. But, he made two plays that were Jordanesque plays like those times when Jordan used to set himself from all other players due to his absolute refusal to lose.

The tip-in late in the game when UK really had to have a basket that I thought at first was by Cousins but that was actually by Wall was the first of these. Then, Wall's game winning block of Jenkins 3 was the second of these. They were the plays that decided the game and both were made by Wall, thus he should have been player of the game.
