Thread: The Wait For #8?

How long does the BBN think it will take Cal to get his 1st National Title and UK's 8th??? Please vote then leave your comments and elaborate. BBN502

I think within the next 5 years.

I strongly believe that we will win the title either this year or next. I would really like to see it sooner than later...but I also know that even with this years team and talent that we have we will struggle early one. If some of the members of this years team stay at least until next year I don't see how anyone couldn't pick us to win it all. We shall see! WE WANT 8!!!

OMG! If we won back 2 back NC's it would be like the biggest early Christmas present I could ever ask for. It is a HUGE possibility and I have to say i would NOT be disappointed by that. Just thinking of it gives me chills and I am more excited by the minute! Shew, is that ever a great thought if I ever heard one! WE WANT 8&9!!!!!!!!! YES! All the way!

That would be great. The sooner we get to 10 and then 12 I'll be happy so those silly UCLA fans will shut up about there titles already. There importance in basketball is well over now and really has been over since Wooden left.....GBB

Yeah, no joke. I am sick of stupid UCLA fans forcing that in our faces. They joke at our 7 like it is nothing. That's okay though. We are on our way to the top of everything once again and then let's hear them say anything. You are also correct about the importance of UCLA basketball being gone with Wooden. He was a very well respected coach and man overall but may I say...Rest in Peace Mr. Wooden.

Either way we can't let Duke win again if possible because with his next title he will pass Adolph Rupp for most National Titles won(Wooden is first). He is already going to pass Rupp this season for Most Wins All Time to move into third place(Knight is first). He is only 8 wins from Rupp's record. Note, of course Rupp was forced to retire from his job due to his age or he would of went on to coach atleast 5 more years. Rupp could of passed 900 wins easily. Also remember in his earlier days they played less games a season. GO BIG BLUE!!!

With Kanter out, it will tough to win it this year with our lack of depth, but certainly not impossible. Last year Duke used Zoubec (?) for defense and rebounding, not for offense. That's what we need from Harrellson and Vargas. Everyone needs to know their role on this team. Honestly I think next year will be our year. They have the potential to be the most talented team since the 2004 Carolina team.

I am going to go with next season. That incoming class is full of studs. Also, hopefully a couple of people will stay for next year to add to that incoming class!

I agree. If only Kanter and Jones leave we will be in great shape. I would really love Jones to stay but the way he is playing he will be a lottery pick and it would most likely be too much NBA money for him to pass up. I do believe he could stay for 2 years like I think Knight will and still be a lottery pick in the 2012 draft and a more developed player as well. Either way were looking good for next season. GBB!!!

I just want it to happen soon!!!! I hope that this isn't a group of one and done.. Tired of that and it only happened once...

Until rules change I'd say get used to the one and done's.
