The first decade of the new century failed to produce any Final Four teams but Kentucky did have its share of great teams and tremendous players. There were two Elite Eight finishes, a sparkling 19-0 run through the SEC schedule and tournament, and a No. 1 ranking to end the 2003 regular season. Always great for debate, our Team of the Decade first team includes obvious choices such as All-American Tayshaun Prince all the way to current freshman sensation John Wall, who has played only 13 college games. Our reasoning? It’s not just 13 games, it’s one-third of what will likely be Wall’s entire collegiate career. Besides, he may be better than any player on that list.
