    'Reservoir Cats'

Pat Forde has a great write up for Yahoo Sports on the UK/FL game. He also takes a look ahead to the New Orleans, comparing it to another National Title game that took place in down there between Patrick Ewing and Michael Jordan. Forde compares Anthony Davis to Ewing and says he doesn't see a Jordan in this year's crop to stand in Davis' way.

Here is what Forde had to say about the Cats:

If the ‘Cats play there like they played here, good luck to the home teams. They’ll need it.Job One for future UK opponents will be making sure their point guards aren’t inhaled by Kentucky’s long, airtight defense. That’s what happened to Florida senior Erving Walker, who at 5 feet 8 literally was in over his head Tuesday night. He missed all seven shots he took, going scoreless for the first time since December of his freshman season.Louisville point guard Peyton Siva, similarly undersized as a maybe-6-footer, can relate. He went 2-of-13 in this building against Kentucky on New Year’s Eve.Then again, the ‘Cats aren’t much fun to face on the inside, either. They lead the nation in blocked shots and two-point field goal percentage defense.
“We are just sticking to our game plan,” Kentucky guard Doron Lamb said. “Make them drive to our bigs and let them block their shots, and contest ‘3s.’ “

Give me a break, if the cats played a ranked team nearly every night out and still won that would be impressive. If they continue to win against non ranked teams, what does that mean?? Put them in the Big Ten Conference and then if they continue to win thats impressive.

So you don't count the fact that they Beat Kansas on a Neutral court really early in the season, Beat UNC, and now has beaten Florida by 20, who nearly beat Syracuse and pushed ohio state.

for HoosierDome: Not sure if you are aware but, UK just blasted a #7 ranked team by 20 points. If that doesn't impress you, you might want to follow something other than basketball. You might also want to get your pulse checked. Meanwhile IU has dropped 5 of their last 7 and among those losses, unranked Nebraska and Minnesota...IMPRESSIVE. IU is BACK! Back to sucking! As evidence of IU's sucking I offer the fact that you had to resort to bragging about your conference instead of your team. I wonder how many UK fans you find trolling IU sites like this. Shameful...

literally i just signed up and there was an option to select which teams your a fan of. UL and UK were both options but i dont believe IU was. Sounds like someone's crying....cough hoosierbj cough..... also, why dont you go find a hoosier nation or some other forum you can join with morons like yourself who can't acknowledge the fact that as already stated, kentucky beat Florida (RANKED #7 mind you) by 20 points. I believe that qualifies as a blowout. good luck choking and going to the NIT!

So glad the Hoosiers won their "Hoosier National Title" in December and rushed the court... The Hoosiers are mentally weak and can't finish games like against weak teams like Nebraska (blew 10 point lead late) and Minnesota (at Assembly Hall)... Living in Hoosier land, I hear it all, how it is nice to be relevant again... The Cats are FOR REAL, and the whole Hoosier nation is jealous... TEAM defense and TEAM in general is what UK is all about, you never hear Cat fans talking about having to get a certain player the ball the way these bums are constantly whining that Cody needs the ball... Good luck embarassing yourself in the Big Ten Tourney in your own backyard AGAIN!!!

hoosierrustytrombone, Kansas, North Carolina, Louisville, Florida...yeah, thats 2 teams. The only thing you should be doing on this site is thanking the UK program for making your team relevant again for about 2 seconds...not 4 seconds, 2.

Hey hoosierbj, (bj- that figures, doesn't it?) normally I wouldn't reply to the post of an idiot but yours is too tempting. A ranked team nearly every night out? Take your time....now tell me who does that? Oh yeah, no one, huh? Last I checked UK was #2 in the Sagarin RPI and 5-1 against the top 25. Tell me where your boys are.

Wait let me get this straight hoosierbj, A double digit win against kansas on a neutral floor at the begining of the season, beating the preseason #1 ranked UNC, ranked louisville, #7 florida by 20, and every other team in the SEC blowout style isn't impressive?? So a miracle, off balance, buzzer beater shot on you home floor with some bad calls yet you still barely win by a point and everything that UK has accomplished this season is suddenly meanignless?? Come on dude, I know what its like when your team is dissapointing but resorting to TROLLING on a forum that has nothing to do with you is sad and low.. I feel sorry for you and your dillussional world you have created for yourself...

Why do you even bother visiting this site? Are you so miserable that your pathetic hoosiers suck that you have to visit a KY fans site and make yourself look like a fool talking smack about a game you obviously know nothing about?! Based on your apparent math skills in one of your posts, you should be going back to elementary school to learn how to count...2 out of 27 games? If you were half as good at evaluating basketball talent as you are at finding animal pornography, you might have an opinion worth listening to or reading, but since you aren't, my reply to your ignorant posts is actually a complete waste of my time. If the Cats were to play your worthless hoosiers again, they would mop the floor with them and give their ignorant fans a real reason to cuss!

Is that hoosier math or something? I know that we haven't played that many ranked teams but we've beaten Louisville, North Carolina, Kansas, and Florida. Upcoming on the schedule is Vanderbilt and Mississippi State, a team that is currently ranked and one that was formerly ranked. I believe that's 6 teams. Good try though.
