It's most certainly possible, but Kentucky is also a team that could lose to almost any team with more experience. We always start out hot and end hot, but we have to many moments in games where we go cold and allow teams to go on runs - just like Georgia did this afternoon midway through the first half. This will soon get us beat, but a loss would do this team much more good than bad. I honestly don't know when to expect our first loss, but @ Vandy seems to be the arena we usually struggle in no matter how much talent we have.

I think they will suffer a loss or two this year. That's not a negative towards UK or what they are doing, it is a testament to college basketball. There is simply too much talent on the courts these days and when you put that talent together anyone is capable of having a big game against any team. The play of the mid-majors over the last few years is a good example of what I am mentioning.

    I can agree with that.

A lot of mid-major guards are nearly as good if not better than the power 6 conferences guards. Only thing that keeps most mid-majors from being as effective as a power conference team is an inside game.

I believe that Kentucky can go undefeated but it is a matter of performance. If they play like they did today against Georgia while facing teams such as Mississippi St., Ole Miss, Florida, and even the Tyler Smithless Vols then they can be beat because those teams have have enough talent to knock us off our perch.

Honestly, UK is doing really good this year, but i don't know if they're gonna get beaten or not. It wouldn't surprise me if they have all wins and no losses this season. But, only time will tell.

ROCK ON WILDCATS I'M HERE FOR YA WIN OR LOSE!!! ((:

    Re: Kentucky Wildcats - Undefeated?

    From WIKI:

There have been 7 NCAA men's Division I basketball champions with perfect records:

    1956 San Francisco Dons (29–0)
1957 North Carolina Tar Heels (32–0)
    1964 UCLA Bruins (30–0)
    1967 UCLA Bruins (30–0)
    1972 UCLA Bruins (30–0)
    1973 UCLA Bruins (30–0)
    1976 Indiana Hoosiers (32–0)

The UCLA Bruins are the only team to have back-to-back perfect seasons (1972–1973) respectively creating a record of 60–0 technically, and all four perfect seasons were under hall of fame head coach John Wooden.

The most recent Final Four to feature two undefeated teams was 1976 (Indiana and Rutgers).

Some teams have finished the regular season undefeated, but lost in the NCAA Tournmament or other postseason action:

1951 Columbia (finished 21–1 after losing in the first round)
1961 Ohio State (finished 27–1 after losing in the championship game)
1968 Houston (finished regular season 28-0, then lost the semifinal and consolation games at the Final Four)
1968 St. Bonaventure (finished regular season 22-0, lost in regional semifinals)
1975 Indiana (finished regular season 29–0, but lost to Kentucky in the regional final)
1976 Rutgers (finished regular season 28–0, but lost in the Final Four)
1979 Indiana State (finished regular season 31–0, but lost in the championship game)
1979 Alcorn State finished the regular season with a perfect 27-0 record, but was not invited to the NCAA Tournament. The Braves lost in the second round of the National Invitation Tournament to Indiana.
1991 UNLV (entered the tournament 30–0, but lost in the Final Four.
2004 Saint Joseph's (finished the regular season 27–0, lost in the first round of the 2004 Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Tournament.)

In addition, NC State finished their season undefeated in 1973, but were ineligible for postseason competition due to rule violations earlier that season. Furthermore, Kentucky finished their season undefeated in 1954, but declined a bid to the NCAA Tournament due to stipulation that Graduate Students could not compete.

In the women's game, the following NCAA Division I champions had perfect records since the NCAA began sponsoring a national championship in 1982:

    1986 Texas Longhorns (34–0)
    1995 Connecticut Huskies (35–0)
    1998 Tennessee Lady Vols (39–0)
    2002 Connecticut Huskies (39–0)
    2009 Connecticut Huskies (39–0)

Florida played their hearts out, and Ky couldn't buy an outside shot, and they still found a way to win, that's the characteristic of a team that could go undefeated!!!!

Well.. I know I said they might get defeated at first, but after what I saw last night In the UK vs. FLORIDA game, I might have changed my mind. People said UK would loose, but did they? NO. They won!!! =) They played a good game, and now everyone has proof that ANYTING can happen now. They won when thee odds were against them and they did a great job. Im proud.

Should be no problem getting another win this weekend against Auburn. We can get a feel for what they have tonight against TN.
