Thread: Kentucky Tops ESPN's SEC Power Rankings

Andy Katz does this week's ESPN Conference Power Rankings and UK is on top. Here is what Mr. Katz had to say about the Wildcats.

1. Kentucky: The Wildcats continue to take everyone's best shot and keep on winning. The problems of winning on the road in conference play seem to be a thing of the past. Still tough spots to come at Florida, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt, but smooth sailing so far.

Kentucky definitely has the toughest part of their SEC schedule yet to come, but if the team that showed up against LSU is the one we see for the rest of the season, its a wrap for SEC Regular Season, Tourney and National Champions, period.

The Big Ten leads all conferences with five teams ranked in the top 25 of the latest Associated Press (AP) and ESPN/USA Today Coaches polls. Ohio State leads the conference, ranked third in both polls, followed by No. 9/10 Michigan State, No. 19/20 Wisconsin, No. 20/20 Indiana and No. 23/22 Michigan. The Big Ten has had five or more ranked teams in seven of the last eight polls. The Wolverines and Buckeyes have appeared in the top 25 of both polls all season long, while the Hoosiers and Spartans have each been top-25 teams for the last eight weeks, and Wisconsin has held a top-25 ranking in 11 of the season's 13 weeks.
