Thread: Kentucky And Duke Playing?????

Check out my Poll http://www.nationofblue.com/f2/most-...-uk-fans-5122/ It's obvious we hate Duke but we hardly ever get to play them. Based on the results so far I say we trade that UNC game each year or even better the Indiana game and play Duke. One year at Rupp and the next year at Cameron Indoor etc...What do you think? Will it ever happen? Reply with you input.

We already have UofL, UNC, TN, and FL on the schedule. Might as well add Duke!

If we did add Duke, would there be a "rival" that we wouldn't play each year?

I don't think it would happen. Getting beat that early by an underrated, freshman line-up would wreck Duke's over-inflated ranking every year.

According to "Sources" he will be eligible. However, the NCAA is taking their time to make sure they get everything just right. If they don't in the beginning, it is possible that it could come back to bite UK in the long run. ie having to vacate things. Also, on a little side note, it has been said that either before the end of this week or next that we could hear something...possibly. Who knows?

I think if any team was taken off the schedule for Duke it would probably be North Carolina. I know the rivalry is great, but there is no way Louisville leaves the schedule, and playing 2 ACC teams evey year really wouldn't make since in recruiting,. The schools are only 10 miles apart, and you know recruiting is always a factor in any game played out of conference.

That makes alot of sense. I'd trade the UNC game each year for Duke as I'm sure many true blue fans would. It would sure shut up them crazies some if we dominated the series. We would still see UNC in the tourney some times for sure. GBB!!!

I'm pretty positive as well we would be on top of that series.

They play either next year or 2012 in a Tip-off challenge at the beginning of the year. But seeing a series where they play every year would be pretty cool! I am all for it.
