Jeff Goodman of CBS Sports wonders who is the real Terrence Jones.

When Terrence Jones went for 52 points in a scrimmage, Kentucky fans rejoiced. They weren't the only ones, either.

My colleague, Gary Parrish, was wowed enough to warrant putting him as a Preseason First Team All-American. Jones may, in fact, wind up being one of the five best players at the end of the season, but he'll still battle the "inconsistency" label that has dogged him for years.

Jones went for four points and one rebound in the loss to Indiana. John Calipari sat him with the game on the line.

One reporter who covers Kentucky far more than me called Jones a "head case."

NBA scouts are divided on Jones, largely due to his inconsistency and also his body language on the court. Some I've spoke to love him and would take him in the top half of the lottery while others are terrified of taking him.

However, there's no one more adept at handling guys like Jones than Calipari.
This loss to Indiana may be more than just a wake-up call for Kentucky. It may also serve as one for Jones.

I wondered early on if John Calipari's claims of Terrence maturing and being more of a leader was going to be true in the big games.

Guess he hasn't matured as much as Cal thought.

I am so mad at jones i could spit! There was no way we should have lost that game! Everyone played hard and still had a chance to win had jones played as hard as his team mates. It was embarrassing to watch and made me look like an idiot for telling my IU and UL friends that he was a beast! At this point i don't care if he plays another game. The problem with head case one and dones is that they have no respect for the uniform. He hurt his nba stock with his little pout fest!
