Thread: Darnell Dodson Is Coming Back

Larry Vaught is reporting that Darnell Dodson will be back at Kentucky for his junior season. Hat Tip to Larry.

"Darnell can play. The two biggest things he has to do are play with more effort and be more consistent on defense," Eisele said. "It is the first time he has been in a situation where he is not the first scoring option. He’s always had the ball in his hands and it has been an adjustment for him."

"Coach Cal has done a great job with him. He had some good non-conference games and some good games in the SEC. The best basketball is still ahead for Darnell. He’s fully focused and committed now. He’s happy to be at Kentucky and will stay at Kentucky."

Going from 1st option to 4th or 5th must be hard. I hope he gets it right come November

i think its best for him to stay so he is able to play his last two years and, if hes interested, hone his skills alongside the top recruits of 20 10 and 2011 classes to make him more NBA ready

Cal mentioned that he was doing the work that he needed to do, which tells me he is putting in more effort than he has in the past. That could be a good thing.
