Brandon Knight staying in the Draft?

Hey NOB as you know by now Brandon Knight will be leaving UK for good. Now we all know that hurts UK's chances slightly next year to win a title but my question is:

Do you think Knight's decision will tarnish his legacy here at UK? Would he of been considered one of UK's all time greats if he played another year graduated and won a title all in his two seasons here?

Let us know what you think NOB?

two names.. mashburn and chapman.. 2 years.. makes a ton of difference at the next level.. you can't call people all time greats with one season to base it on.. just not possible..to many questions.. like would wall have improved his shooting.. would knight have gotten better with contact? would bledsoe have learned to play under control..just to many questions..so for me.. just another good player in a long line of good kentucky players.

I mean he was the quarterback of a team who got us to the final four for the first time in over a decade. I don't think that can be taken from him.

That was great but not as huge a deal as people try to make it out to be. I think a lot of these members are so young they don't remember Final Fours before 98'. With the talent we get now and since Calipari is our coach now i think Final Four should be expected practically every season. We all knew Tubby wasn't going to get there with his own recruits and Billy G HA, what a joke he was. Knight did good this year but could of been great with another year under him.

I completely agree about that. I'm just saying that it was a team this year that nobody expected to do that but again I agree that it should be expected at this point.

Agreed that no one realistically expected a Final Four this season after we didn't get Enes cleared.

that's more of a testament to what Josh harrellson did for this team than anything.. it took alot more than Brandon Knight for us to get to the fnal four. he doesn't get all that credit. He was the most consistent player we had but he also turned the ball over more than avg. he had pretty mediocre assist avg. Don't get me wrong he's good, but he;s not gonna be a legendary UK player. you just can't lift someone to that status after one year. Every one says i can;t blame him for taking the money, i say screw the money, if he is that good then the money he makes off his first contract is gonna pale in comparison to what he will make on his second one. and in order to be prepared for a second contract he needed to stay in college longer and develop more as a player. just america's fascination with the quick buck and me me me attitude combined.

Totally agree. Josh was a big part of there run. Oops did i say big i meant HUGE. Sure Knight was the Point but Jorts came through when we needed him. He outplayed Sully and Zeller, which was no easy accomplishment. I also agree about the money hungry kids today. The people who say that they needed to go why they could is not thinking there will be a draft next season. Come back, improve and then hit up the next draft. It's not like a once in a lifetime opportunity if your as skilled as our guys are. If they get hurt then oh well, it is what it is. No risk, no rewards. They could of got hurt bad playing in there driveway or anytime, anywhere. Are these kids that desperate to get money? I didn't grow up with much money either and i could realize that college should be used for more than one year. Isn't that the whole point of it? To get a education and to participate in the sports to better themselves for there future careers on and off the court. Something must be done about this.
