We've discussed here before how nasty fans can be towards recruits that pick schools of different colors. And as long as players expose themselves to fans on a personal level with the use of social media like twitter and facebook, this is likely to continue. What are your thoughts?

I think it's sad he's being treated that way. I've seen some very nasty stuff said about him. People seem to forget that this is a high school kid we're talking about.

It's funny how fans only worry about themselves. When Ellis didn't choose UK I see facebook light up with derogatory comments about him (From UK fans). Of course I want every best player we can get but if they don't choose UK I'm not going to the hate the person. People are crazy anymore.

Let's not act like that there aren't UK fans out there that would act like this. We are a part of the most passionate fan base any sport has ever seen (with the exception of soccer. I mean, you don't see UK fans rioting in Rupp arena do you?). But this will continue to go on, we all know it will. As bad and disappointing as it is, it is a problem that will continue to happen until these young stars start to be more responsible on who they allow to be a part of their social networking.

I agree that all fans do this. However, it's sad that the kids have to go through that.
