DeMarcus Cousins says Julius Randle is a Beast

DeMarcus Cousins was recently in Lexington and it sounds like he played some pick up with the Kentucky Wildcats that are currently in summer school and one player stood out to the Kings’ big man.

Hearing stuff like this gets me really excited for the upcoming season.

Not surprised at all Julius Randle I think has a chance to overtake Wiggins for #1 pick in 2014 NBA Draft.

He’s not Matt Pilgrim “beast” but he is a beast.

For Big Cuz to say Randle is a beast take it to the bank. I agree with Big Tim, if Randle averages a double double as I expect he will and leads UK to number 9, and if they get by UNC and Florida on the road this team could go undefeated, I know one bad shooting night is all it takes but it’s possible. On paper this team is a lot deeper and more talented than the 2012 team and they were a last minute (3 pointer at IU, worse game they played all year) and just a down night in the SEC tournament against Vandy (7 point loss on a terrible night) from going undefeated. Only 8 pts away and the 2012 team had Miller and Wiltjer rounding out the 7 man rotation. This team has a 10-11 man rotation of Poythress, Cauley-Stein, Randle, Johnson, Young, Lee, Willis, Hawkins, Hood, Polson and maybe a redshirt that will practice with the team in Wiltjer. Even if they don’t get a huge amount of playing time don’t under estimate the value that Hood, Polson and Wiltjer will bring to the team knowing Coach Cal’s system. Then you throw in Poythress and Cauley-Stein being back for a second year this team will be as good as they want to be. You heard it here first, UK 94-UL 62.
