It was reported yesterday that Demarcus Cousins punched a South Carolina fan when he was leaving the court after Tuesday's game. A student named "Stephen" reported to a South Carolina reporter that he received a "chicken wing" as Boogie was leaving the court. I'm really getting tired of Cousins getting a bad wrap about his temper. I'll take his passion on the floor any day of the week!

So what does all this mean? It means there's a student and a reporter that declare that Boogie hit "Stephen". I don't know about you, but I find it hard to believe this happened. I think at best, the student was rushing the floor and ran into Cousins.

Here's a video of the incident....

I really don't see how this story even got legs.. It's ridiculous!

From the beginning of the season Demarcus has been dubbed as a loose cannon and someone who needs to keep his emotions in check. I'm of the opinion that Cousins is just passionate about the team and his play. That may be a reason he's one of a handful of players that seems to always come to play.

What do you think? Is cousins immature and a loose cannon or is he just passionate about his team?

DID NOT throw a punch. There is just no way. And to think that this got any attention at all. I liked to get the honest response from the person who started this gossip and see if they can show me exactly where and how and with a clear shot.

I find this story ridiculous. I feel that Cousins has brought some of this reputation on himself, he seems easily "baited" by other players on the court or perhaps "fans" off of it. The bottom line is that Demarcus needs to keep his head in the game and ignore the rest; that takes maturity and I feel he'll get there, hopefully sooner rather than later.

I didn't see anything that Boogie did. I think "Stephen" is a liar. I love Big Cuz and his passion.

FYI, this must not be the incident because that is not Cousins, it's Patterson in the video. Cousins doesn't wear the arm sleeve and Patterson does.

I was at the game, sitting in the front row under the South Carolina basket (second half). My son and I had on UK Blue and the names and comments that were made towards us were terrible. I expect that in a hostile enviornment. South Carolina played hard and lets face it, their fans haven't had much to cheer about for years. There must be a limit though as to when being passionate about your team becomes violent. I never turned around to engage any of the hecklers behind me at the game. I cheered, yelled and generally supported my Cats before and during the game. When it was over, we walked out and let the Cocks celebrate. Had to throw that in. I live and work in Columbia and all in all they are good people. You will always get your rowdy bunch. Just as if we were playing Louisville or Duke and had an great win, we would be overly passionate too. I can't imagine being a player and playing with such a level of intensity, then containing yourself to exit the court. Cousins will grow up quickly this year at UK. We still have the best college basketball program in the world! GO Cats!

If it happened, don't you think the guy would have gone to security right away? This is a matter of trying to get Cuz off the court as well as on. He's an easy target with his reputation. GO CATS! 19-1

First of all it should be noted that the player the arrow is pointing to is not Cousins. That is Patrick Patterson. No headband and blue arm sleeve. Cousins had already left the floor.

First of all... Cousins is a big guy, anyone who runs into him is going to feel like they have been hit in some way. What will fans of other schools and the media try to throw at us next?!

From the vidoe footage you can't even tell anything, but I do know that if Cousins did "punch" this Stephen fellow that it looks to me like the kid would have said something sooner or at least said something while on the court. I saw no sign of any kind of alltercations or confrontations between any players or attendees of the game.

Cousins did have a bit of a temper problem in the beginning... anyone with any kind of knowledge of the this years basketball season can see that Cousins has changed dramitically since the beginning of the season. Yes he may still have a temper... but I feel it is passion. When he is on the court he shows it, he is a team player and defends his team mates.

If any player from any School doesn't have that same kind of commitment to the team and to themselves.... then why even play?!
