    Dear UK Seniors,

For three of you the inevitable has come. You have played your last game at Rupp Arena and the only games that remain for you to wear your Kentucky Wildcat jerseys are in the SEC and NCAA tournaments. Mark Krebs, Ramon Harris and Perry Stevenson: thanks to each of you for your contributions and know that we are very proud of your accomplishments academically and athletically on the court.

I'm not really sure how to handle you, Patrick Patterson. One side of me says that I write this letter to our seniors only, and you're not a senior. The other side of me says that is a minor technicality since you has over-achieved in the classroom. Just because you were able to graduate in 3 years and just because you are unsure of your future as a Wildcat doesn't mean that your accomplishments are any less remarkable than the 4 year seniors. So just in case we don't get the opportunity to say this again to you, your included in this letter as well.

For the four of you, the road to graduation has been a difficult one. Your fans know and have endured the same highs and lows as you have. With two different coaches, three in some cases, being in the spotlight for good play, being in the spotlight for bad play, meeting expectations, not meeting expectations; it's been a roller-coaster that the most famous amusement parks would like to figure out how to build. And it comes down to this, 29-2 on the season, playing with an extremely talented team, winning the SEC regular season title, favorite to win the SEC tournament championship and most likely being a #1 seed in the big dance.

Over the next 4 weeks, be sure to sit back and take in every moment you can. If you think your time as a Wildcat has gone fast just wait until you are 40 year old men looking back at your life. Although we hope that these will not be the best moments of your life, they will certainly be near the top of the list. The next 4 weeks will be a very exciting time as you wrap up your career as a Wildcat and all of your fans hope that you enjoy them. All of your fans are behind you, are cheering for you and support you both on and off the court, as Kentucky Wildcats and beyond. Thank you for providing us all the opportunity to watch you grow.

Leave a comment below to show the UK Seniors (and Patrick Patterson) your appreciation for their time as a Wildcat and to show your support for them in the future.

Just remeber that once you spend four years in that jersey, you become a kentuckian for life. Thanks for all the hard work and effort and you still have 9 games left. I hope each of you get the chance to have one more great moment.
