Darius Miller is working on a championship in Germany’s top-level BBL league.

Miller led Brose Baskets with 26 points and 4 assists in a 101-82 win over Ratiopharm in game 1 of the championship series.

Brose Baskets finished the regular season wtih an impressive 31-3 record.

Brose Baskets had little troubles cruising to the opening victory in BBL Finals. They fired past Ratiopharm Ulm in the opener. The game without a history. Brose Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 63.6 percent from the field and made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Brose Baskets shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Darius Miller (203-90, college: Kentucky) stepped up and scored 26 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and his fellow American import guard Brad Wanamaker (193-89, college: Pittsburgh) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Brose Baskets players scored in double figures. Brose Baskets’ coach Andrea Trinchieri used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side international point guard Per Guenther (185-88) responded with 19 points and 6 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and American power forward Raymar Morgan (202-88, college: Michigan St.) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds.
