Former Kentucky big man Daniel Orton will continue his professional basketball career in Lebanon.
Orton has signed with Champville in Lebanon’s top-level Pepsi LBL league.

Champville (Pepsi LBL) agreed terms with 27-year old American forward Daniel Orton (208-116kg-90, college: Kentucky). He just played at GS Kymis in Greek A1 league. In 12 games he had 9.3ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.7apg and 1.0bpg this season. Orton also spent pre-season at Mayrouba earlier that year.
In 2010 he was drafted by Orkando Magic (NBA) in first round (29th overall). Orton attended University of Kentucky and it is his seventh season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won NBA Northwest Division championship title in 2013. Orton was also voted USBasket.com All-D-League Honorable Mention back in 2013.
He is quite experienced player. Orton’s career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in seven different countries. Orton tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in China (Hunan), Mexico (Fuerza Regia), Philippines (Star Hotshots), Puerto Rico (Leones), NBA (Phi.76ers, Washington Wizards and Oklahoma City Thunder) and D-League (Santa Cruz Warriors, Maine Red Claws and Grand Rapids Drive).
