Coach Cal was at the New Orleans arena on Wednesday night to watch former Wildcats for the first time this season. He was impressed by Hornets rookies Anthony Davis and Darius Miller, who played against another former Wildcat Eric Bledsoe of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Here’s a photo of Anthony Davis with a hand on a shot by fellow former Wildcat Eric Bledsoe.
[colored_box color="blue"]After watching Davis score 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the Hornets’ 105-91 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, Calipari left impressed by Davis’ progress after 57 games played in the NBA as a rookie.
“What I liked is that the Clips went right at Anthony physically and he held his own,” Calipari said. “He didn’t get thrown around and he made that run in the second half and made baskets.”[/colored_box]

“It was good for him that he came to see me and Darius play and (Clippers guard) Eric Bledsoe as well,” Davis said. “Hopefully, he can come to more but he’s got to move onto the next game because he’s got to worry about what he has to do.”
