View from Section 137

On February 13th, ESPN's "College Gameday" will be coming to Lexington when the Kentucky Wildcats take on the Tennessee Volunteers. Tennessee defeated Kansas,earlier this year, who at the time was sitting as the number one team in the nation. If they they continue their winning ways, this is sure to be the SEC match-up of the season.

Unlike the Football Gameday Crew, the Basketball Gameday crew has been to Rupp Arena a few times (only once for football). The cast consist of Jay Bilas, Hubert Davis, Rece Davis, Bobby Knight and Digger Phelps. This is great exposure for the school and our program and will certainly go a long way in the recruiting battle ground for basketball and football prospects.

I'm also curious to see how the crowd will handle Bobby Knight live in Rupp Arena. After his comments about Calipari, I'm thinking ESPN may choose to have him skip this one or they may do something to keep him out of the mix. I for one would love the opportunity heckle him on live television.

So mark your calendars and set your DVRs for 8AM EST on 2/13 and prepare for a morning long pep rally before we take on UT. This is definitely the next "big game" on the schedule and "College Gameday" just raised the stakes!
