    Facts:

    * Stansbury took a jab at one of MY Kentucky Wildcats yesterday before his press conference.

    * Twany Beckham shot back on twitter taking a jab at Stansbury saying he's just jealous he's playing at the place he wishes he could coach....this was quickly deleted.

    * Stansbury put up a fake ____ apology on twitter, giving the lame "taken our of context" excuse, saying he called Beckham to apologize.

Listen here Stansbury, no one cares about your poor excuse for an apology or your lack of integrity to talk crap about a former player. The fact that you have taken the Mississippi State program down a road to nowhere is irrevelant, much like your entire coaching career. You had a chance to be someone that the state of Kentucky respected, until you opened your big shady mouth and talked ish about another home-grown Kentuckian. You have set yourself and your team up for a beatdown, taking place at 9pm tonight.

p.s. Thanks for the extra motivation.

Ever wondered what it would be like to go to a movie with a Kentucky basketball player? Wonder no more!

Check out Doron Lamb and Marquis Teague hitting up a movie on a night off. Maybe Lamb will tweet out some movie quotes to us later eh?

I'm not gonna lie, every year this game makes me nervous and this year is no exception. Before the season even began, this game was circled on my schedule as one I thought the Cats may lose. So if Kentucky comes out of Memorial gym tonight with an L, it won't surprise me and I won't be disappointed. All teams struggle playing in that rickety old, weird gym and with another young team, you don't know what the outcome might be.

I can tell you that I'm not quite as nervous about tonight's game as I have been the last two years. The way Kentucky has been playing with such poise and domination has put my little heart at ease. I'm also well aware that if they do lose a game, it could be the last game they lose this season, and I'm okay with that.

This Kentucky team is something Vandy has not faced this year: An incredibly lengthy and athletic team, that has the ability to pressure them at the three point line along with eliminate shots around the basket.

I say the Cats pull out a close one 72-69. They might be down at half by one or two, but will come out strong in the second, owning the lead and never looking back. Vandy may have a shot to win it at the end but Kentucky sinks their free throws to pull out a close one on the road.

The benefit of winning the UK/UL basketball game each year is plain and simple: fan bragging rights. In my eyes, winning the basketball game is more essential than winning the football game for a could reasons:

    A. Kentucky IS a basketball state. Yes, both schools play football but no matter what fans try to say, basketball is number one, always.

    2. Whoever wins the basketball game gets longer bragging rights. The winner of the football game only gets a few months to say thier the best, once the game on the hardwood is finished, no one cares or remembers who won the football game and the victor can brag all the way until September 1st.

    (A, 2....get it? lol)

I have been torn on this game and all of the tweets and radio callers this week have been getting under my skin...and I'm not just talking about Louisville fans. It goes both ways. In my honest opinion, I think today's game will be close. Louisville is very physical and will be looking to draw contact early. Will the refs whistles be tight? Will they let them play? I like Kentucky to win, even in a close game but I will not be shocked if Louisville can pull the upset. (God help me if this happens)

My Louisville vs. Kentucky game prediction:

    Louisville 68 Kentucky 74

    Let's go, it's time...GO CATS!!
