As DeMarcus Cousins wakes up this morning, I wonder what he found under his pillow? Did the tooth fairy leave him a quarter, dollar, five dollars or maybe a future number one seed in the NCAA Tournament. There's still a long way to go, but after Saturday, there's no doubting this IS THE NUMBER ONE TEAM IN THE COUNTRY!! The first half of this game is the most complete twenty minutes this team has played this year. Cousins loses a part of his tooth, Wall gets a bruised knee while diving for a lose ball and sliding into the scorers table and what about Darius Miller! This guy was on fire! I hope this is all part of Miller becoming more comfortable with his new teammates and we can expect to start seeing this type of performance going forward. Here's the post game interviews in case you missed them... When everyone was camping out for Big Blue Madness, it looks like the basketball team took to the blue courts for a little pre-game exhibition. I guess then, people may not have known exactly what they were watching. Would they know we would be 18-0? Did they have any idea what kind of talent John Wall actually was? I doubt it!! My favorite part of this video is the behind the back pass that goes between Josh Herrelson's legs! Check it out!! Click to watch on Youtube
Jeff Goodman writes a column for FOX Sports and he's calling for an Arkansas upset today. I first want to say that I think Jeff may have been smoking the wacky weed before he wrote this. Then I want to thank him for giving us something to focus on going into today's game. Here's what Jeff had to say.... UPSET SPECIAL: Arkansas knocking off the final unbeaten – No. 1 Kentucky. I just have a feeling on this one. Courtney Fortson is back for the Razorbacks and he’s quick and athletic enough to give the Wildcats problems. The key will be whether John Pelphrey — a former Kentucky star — can get enough up front from Michael Washington Being the only unbeaten in the land has it's disadvantages. You're going to get everyone's best game just because you're Kentucky. Throw in the fact that you're 18-0 and now you're the biggest game of most people's career!! You combine that with a young team thats being treated like the next Dream Team and you have a recipe for an upset. That's why we love when people like Jeff make these kind of statements. I would encourage all members of the media to continue to disrespect our team and state. I have no problem going through the season with a chip on my shoulder. I can't imagine looking Cousins, Bledsoe, Wall and Patterson in the eye while telling them.."Today I think you guys are going to lose", "I really don't think your as good as everyone says". Whoever does that, will be responsible for waking the sleeping giant!!! Do you think Kentucky will lose in the regular season? If so, who will they lose to? And it seems Jeff's dislike for the Cats didn't start this year. He doggs Darius Miller in this interview in 2009! Click to watch on Youtube

The Kentucky Wildcats will take on the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday at 4PM. At 6PM, bacon will be served along with your #1 ranked Kentucky Wildcats!! You can catch the game on the SEC Network. To catch my breakdown of tomorrow's game, CLICK HERE. The day before a game is always media day and today is no different. Here's a few quotes and video of todays interviews thanks to UKathletics.com. John Calipari On playing Eric Bledsoe and John Wall together… “Neither one was worried about the other in the recruiting process. I’ve been doing this long enough that if two of my best players are five men, I’ve got to figure out how to play them both at the same time. If two are shooting guards, I figure out how to play both of them at the same time. With these two, they are two of our better players and you play them. They are like two brothers. They enjoy playing with each other and they enjoy helping each other. One’s success is not affecting the other, unless it is in a positive way.” John Wall On guarding the 3-point shot especially with Rotnei Clark … “If you are not ready for that then you might get beat by 40. If he gets going it is going to be tough to stop him. Our main thing this week in practice is to fight up the screens and trying to connect. He is not really tall, but he has a quick release. Once he gets hot, you are in trouble.” Ramon Harris On the respect Kentucky players have for Arkansas… “This team is proving themselves when they play big teams. They almost beat Texas this year as well, and with us being at home will give us a little advantage, but we know they will come ready to play.” Perry Stevenson On the pressure of possibly being No. 1 in the polls if they beat Arkansas … “We don’t really think about it too much. You can’t worry about it because you cannot let it affect the way that you are playing. So, we are not worried about it at all. That is the way to go.” John Calipari Interview Click to watch on Youtube John Wall Interview Click to watch on Youtube Romon Harris Interview Click to watch on Youtube Perry Stevenson Interview Click to watch on Youtube
Earlier today Coach Calipari visited the Kentucky department of transportation. While he was in Frankfort, he also made a stop by the Governor's office. He wasn't there, but they did take this picture. Is it just me, or does this just look natural? One could argue that the head basketball coach at UK has as much or more power than the state's Governor. What do you think?
