I'm sure all of you have realized that both places Cal has coached at have only made it to the Final 4 but have had those stripped. I think the only reason he hasn't gotten a championship is because all of his young players that never have time to become a real team. I really don't think he is a great coach but he is good at recruiting, whether it be legally or illegally. I really have never trusted/liked him as our coach but every time I posted a status on Facebook about it tons of people would come to his defense, this is wy i had been holding off writing a blog about it on here. I really just think ESPN is out to get us. No matter if we do something right or wrong they are saying negative things. We just killed our first two oponents in the NCAA tournament and what is their cover story on the website? Upset special, with a picture of a Cornell player and Cousins. Yes, I know there is a chance we will lose but really everytime we have a game they are talking about us losing. They just feed off our imperfections. I'm starting to get tired of it! Why do they hate us so much? Does ESPN hire mostly Dukies on purpose? So many questions that I'm pretty sure we could answer.

ESPN can't be neutral because then people would think they are boring. ESPN has to be haters so other team's fans will like them, in turn getting the Big Blue Nation to hate them so we will watch just to e-mail or comment on their website.

So, my idea is to have a boycot of sorts. I know it would be hard not to watch ESPN and read sports blogs, so instead we need to boycott any hate mail or anything like that to any haters. If we set a date then on that date we just bombard them with emails and it will really anoy them. While we are waiting for a date we can compile a list of emails as targets. So it is like they think we just gave up and then when they least expect it their inbox will be flooded. Haha I know it most likely wouldn't work, but it would be awesome if it did.

I'm pretty sure you have all realized that most SEC, NIT, NCAA tournament games have been on a weekday in the middle of the day. I know plenty of people who won't get to watch the game because of work or school. If they want high ratings why do they schedule the games when people can't watch it. Some teachers let us watch it, but only if they are Kentucky fans. I have had way to many teachers who could care less and didn't really understand UK basketball in this state, we begged and begged for them to let us watch it but they wouldn't. Magic Johnson was in Frankfort today to support a bill to change the minimum drop out age to 18. He said he will be going to the Kentucky game tonight as the Governor's guest. These NBA legends coming to Kentucky is really helping our recruiting image. Who else do you think will come to see a game in the next few seasons?

Kentucky survives in Nashville even with the homecourt advantage not going their way. I think the 1st half the bench being in the endzone was a slight disadvantage, but in the 2nd half it didn't seem to be the problem.

Kentucky is hounded all the time for being dirty, and taking cheap shots, but even if that was true it was completely opposite tonight. Right after the double technical Vandy seemed to try and take advantage of our immaturity. Many times they would over act when they thought they should have been fouled and many times they would bevery intentional with their fouling.

At fist I thougt the refs were pretty even but then it got kind of crazy and I think they were scared to make game changing calls.

2 Vandy players fouled out and Olgilvy had 4 fouls, kind of shows how rough it was getting.

Obviously Wall, Cousins, and Patterson are gone after this year but how long will other players like Bledsoe and Orton stay?

If Bledsoe steps up, we may only have him for one or two more years. Orton is good but I think we will have him until his Junior or Senior year depending on if he steps up next year or not.

But I have heard alot of rumors lately that Coach Cal might be considering the Nets job. When asked about it he said he was "happy" at Kentucky but he said the same thing to Memphis reporters before taking the Kentucky job. The Nets have a 1/4 chance of getting Wall in the draft and might get Lebron with him being a Free Agent.

This might just be a rumor just because people are seeing that Lebron has been hanging around Kentucky lately, and alot of people think Wall and James will go to the Nets who will have a coaching position open. Coach Cal already went to the NBA and didn't do great, I think he is a better college coach and hopefully he sees this.

My opinion is that if Cal is even considering this he sees that his best position would be at a college, for his coaching style and who he is used to coaching. ]]> andrea1994barney http://www.nationofblue.com/blogs/calipari-nets-348/ Rude Fans? http://www.nationofblue.com/blogs/rude-fans-347/ Wed, 17 Feb 2010 14:56:21 GMT Watching the game last night I noticed that ESPN was egging on the MSU fans that were calling Cousins, then later they commented on how "it was a black eye to MSU." Of course they were also talking about the bottles being thrown, but how can they joke around about something that can be equally as serious.

On another note I know there are rude fans for every team. I have seen some pretty ignorant fans in my time, but I don't think anyone at Rupp would ever throw things on the floor. It was just stupid on the part of the MSU fans as they hit their own player with a water bottle.

But what do you think the NCAA could do to stop people from doing things like the phone calls and throwing things?
