Auburn’s Cinmeon Bowers Says Kentucky is Beatable: “This ain’t like last year”

Confidence is apparently running high in the Auburn locker room heading into Saturday’s game against Kentucky.

Auburn’s Cinmeon Bowers says Kentucky is beatable.

Check out his comments:

Despite being in a current three-game Southeastern Conference losing streak, Auburn forward Cinmeon Bowers has already seen Kentucky on television this season and described them as ‘beatable’.

Minutes removed from a frustrating 75-57 loss at Vanderbilt Tuesday night, Bowers, who got Bowers his seventh double-double of the season, said in the tunnel of Memorial Gymnasium that the Tigers (7-8, 1-3 in SEC) don’t look at defeating this version of Kentucky as the same impossible task as last year’s squad that won its first 38 games and made it to the Final Four. Auburn will face No. 14 Kentucky on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Auburn Arena in front of a national television audience on ESPN.

“We confident about Kentucky now,” Bowers said after posting a double-double (13 points and 10 rebounds) in 32 minutes against Vanderbilt. “This ain’t like last year. This isn’t the same Kentucky. They’re beatable. If we play with energy, play smart and finish on the offensive end, then we can beat this Kentucky. We know that.”
