UConn transfer Alex Oriakhi has had the chance to host several coaches over the past few days, including Kentucky’s John Calipari.
According to CBS Sports, Oriakhi will be visiting Kentucky the weekend of April 20th.
Adam Zagoria has also spent some quality time talking to Oriakhi about his visit with Calipari, among other things:
“It went real well. Coach Calipari, he broke it down for me. He told me he wasn’t going to promise me anything, which I like. He’s not going to promise me anything.”
“He would like for me to come in and lead right away and I definitely feel he was honest. He did present Kentucky very well. He talked about how the basktball players have a high GPA so he values education with his players. I think it really went well.”
Calipari also told the big man that he only has two players returning next season. Of course, one if Kyle Wiltjer, but who is the second?
There is a possibility of it being Marquis Teague, but it is probable that Calipari was referencing to another transfer in Ryan Harrow.
Oriakhi hopes to have a decision by the end of the month. He is considering Kentucky, Xavier, Missouri, Duke, and North Carolina.
