UK Football Notebook: UK has Nation’s Second-Largest Attendance Increase

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The NCAA has finalized attendance figures for the 2013 football season, showing that Kentucky had the second-largest increase in the nation.

Kentucky averaged 59,472 in attendance per game in 2013, an increase of 9,781 from the previous season. Only the University of Washington registered a larger per-game increase. The national average for home attendance was 45,192 for all games in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision.

Overall, Kentucky ranked 29th in the nation in average attendance per game. UK has ranked in the nation’s top 30 in attendance 13 times since the 1999 season.
