Some Kentucky fans may not like this, but it is a good gesture on the part of the University of Kentucky.

I have no problem with that and appreciate the fact UK used that team photo in the ad.

There was so much controversy when Pitino left, but that doesn’t change the fact that he was a huge factor in getting the Big Blue Nation back on the map of college basketball, and was the coach for some of our best games! Not to mention that he has the golden touch with other teams as well, so he’s more than deserving of induction and I’m glad UK is being a good sport.

lets face it hes an awesome coach and he did bring us a championship and he didnt want to take his friends job after he made all that money in boston but now we have calapari and he brought us #8 and has a great chance to bring 9 this year go big blue

This should not be controversial. Coaches come and go – they have careers to manage like everyone else. Coach Pitino was a great coach for U.K. while he was here; I was sorry to see him go, and I’m glad he came back to coach for a school in the greatest state in the nation for college hoops. His entry in the the HOL is a win for college basketball fans everywhere, but especially for those in the Commonwealth.

I appreciate the gesture by UK.The man is a COACH!.He brought us back from oblivion faster than most thought possible.Congrats Ricky P.from a longtime fan of yours. You deserve all the accolades given.Good Luck in every game except when you play the Cats.

yeah, rick pitino definately deserve to be in the UK Hall of Fame, if he’s not already, and if we have one for sure lol. I remember, i was just learning about stats and I put made a cardboard of our first 500 season in a long time, then Pitino turned it all around in no time flat. yeah, we’re bitter that he left, but he did us a solid and got us a national championship before he left.. and he also left Tubby with a team capable of winning it all the next year as they did. I’m very surprised that UK didnt kick tubby to the curb as soon as pitino was available again. But i’m glad they didnt, two elite teams playing in KY about an hour from each other really elevates our state and helps both teams out with recruits. Professional Basketball Players have became one of KY’s best exports, thanks largely to Ricky P.

Pitino is an awesome coach!!! He deserves all the credit for what he has accomplished in his career. He may be coaching our in state rivals, but when my Cats aren’t playing the Cards, I am cheering for them too. I would rather be for Louisville than to ever be for Duke or NC.
