John Calipari Statement on Ryan Harrow Transferring to Georgia State

Kentucky Head Coach John Calipari on sophomore guard Ryan Harrow transferring to Georgia State

“Given the health of his dad, we fully support Ryan’s decision to transfer to Georgia State to be closer to his family in Atlanta. Ryan was a vital part of this year’s team and an important player in practice during our 2011-12 national championship run. I want to thank Ryan for his efforts and hard work and wish him the best of luck at Georgia State. I know the Big Blue Nation will keep a close eye on him and wish him well as he continues his basketball career and his pursuit of a college degree.”

  1. he will be miss suck a good player

  2. Very nice and classy Mikkail, really dude?

  3. He’s a great guy, but not the right fit at UK. I don’t think he’ll be missed next season because he would’ve probably rode the pine. Hope nothing but the best for him in all his future endeavors.

  4. polson>harrow thats why hes gone

  5. We wish Ryan nothing but the best. Thanks for the effort and hard work while at UK.

  6. He won’t be the last.

  7. Look…. Just not the star player or leader. Great guy I am sure and much class from Coach. Good luck Ryan! BBN 2013-14!!!

  8. Sorry to hear that Ryan is transferring, but fully understand. Only good thoughts and prayers for him and his family!!

  9. He was the 1st to leave…but he wont be the last. I dont see Kyle coming back either. We are gonna be too deep for these guys to get minutes. They are better served going somewhere they can actually get game minutes.#Number9

      Kyle
Wiltjer just posted the following : I just want everyone to know I AM
NOT TRANSFERRING. The thought never crossed my mind. I love Coach Cal
and the staff, UK, and the BBN. After talking with coach and the staff I
understand what I need to do. I want to be a part of another chip. This
summer, I’m going to work hard to come back next season better and
stronger to help my team fight for #9!

  10. Best thing for Ryan, truth is, not only is Andrew Harrison a much better PG, but Aaron Harrison is ALSO a much better PG than Ryan even though Aaron plays the 2G. If Polson comes back as a walk on next year, that probably puts Ryan 4th option at his position. Best of Luck Harrow, I hope you develop the skills to help you make a living playing the game you love.

  11. Good luck Ryan and best wishes to you and your family it’s been an honor watching you at Ky.

  12. Good luck Ryan!!!!

  13. Good luck Ryan. The BBN hopes the move works out well for you and your family

  14. i thought he was a good player not everyone has a great game no one is perfect so good luck ryan harrow at georgia state
