Where to Watch Kentucky vs. Marshall

The #23 ranked Kentucky Wildcats (7-3) host the Marshall Thundering Herd (7-5) today at 4pm on ESPN2.

The announcers for today’s game are Mark Jones and Kara Lawson.

Kentucky is favored by 19.5 points.

Marshall makes the short drive down I-64 to face Kentucky for the 12th time ever and the first time since 2003.

UK leads the all-time series with Marshall by an 11-0 margin. The last meeting came on Dec. 1, 2003 which resulted in an 89-76 win for UK. John Calipari owns a 5-0 all-time record against the Thundering Herd.

Marshall’s Elijah Pittman has played 11 Sweet Sixteen games in Rupp Arena and won the 2009 state championship as a member of Holmes High School in Rupp in a 67-63 win over Louisville Central. Pittman had a team-leading 14 points
Tamron Manning played in 10 games in Rupp Arena, seven Sweet Sixteen games. As a senior in 2012, his Scott County team lost in the finals to Louisville Trinity despite a game-high 28 points from Manning.

Kentucky is 67-13 against teams comprising Conference USA. UK has garnered a 41-5 mark against Tulane, it’s most frequent opponent in the league. UAB is the only team in the conference to have a winning record against the Wildcats with a 3-2 all-time mark.

Marshall is 11-24 all-time against current teams of the SEC.

Marshall has received a few bits of bad news this season. Nov. 15:Three-star recruit Kareem Canty (PG) is ruled ineligible by the NCAA. Nov. 20: Yous Mbao and Robert Goff collide in practice forcing Goff to miss two games. Mbao
will remain outwith concussion symptoms until cleared by the medical staff. Dec.10: Leading scorer DeAndre Kane injured his right hand and is ruled out for an indefinite amount of time.
