• In a year where "Operation Win" was the focus, Kentucky ended the season with, what most fans would call, a disappointing 6-7 topped by a loss to a Coachless Pittsburgh team in the BBVA Compass Bowl.
The 2010 season had it's moments. The big win came over number 10 South Carolina at Commonwealth Stadium, only one week after the old ball Coach defeated then number 1 Alabama.

The most disappointing loss came at the expense of an Ole Miss squad that ended the year at 4-8, including a 1-7 SEC record.

The offense could score, the defense couldn't stop anyone from scoring. In the six regular season loss', Kentucky scored over 30 in three of them. Their lowest offensive output came at the hands of Tennessee and Florida where the Big Blue could only manage 14 points.

ESPN has completed their year ending grade of each team within the SEC.

These grades were based in part on preseason expectations coupled with what teams were able to get out of their talent level. Consistency counted. Doing something you hadn’t done in a while (or ever) counted, and so did finishing the season on a strong note. Those teams that played below their talent level were graded down. Those teams that persevered received bonus points.

    Here are the final ratings:

    - Alabama: B-
    - Arkansas: B+
    - Auburn: A+
    - Florida: C-
    - Georgia: D-
    - Kentucky: C-
    - LSU: B+
    - Mississippi State: B+
    - Ole Miss: D
    - South Carolina: B+
    - Tennessee: C+
    - Vanderbilt: D

Chris Low stated, "It’s important to remember that all grades aren’t created equal, either. For instance, Arkansas and LSU were both better football teams than South Carolina, but the fact that the Gamecocks made it to the SEC championship game for the first time in school history was enough to get them a B+. If you have a problem with your school’s grade, you’re welcome to go through the appeals process."

I think I'll go to a few games next season with the same attitude that the program has. I'll go just to be showing up, see some old friends, tailgate, and hope the other team has a worse attitude about playing than we do so maybe we can win.
