No one knew what was going to happen today with Tennessee in Commonwealth Stadium at the quarterback position.

Everyone thought Maxwell Smith would start behind center since he was taking all the reps in warmups.

    He didn't start.

Matt Roark, yes Matt Roark, came out as the Kentucky signal caller and promptly led the Wildcats down the field on a 15 play 62 yard drive which ended in a Craig ...

Weeks after losing power back commit Shadrach Thornton, the Kentucky Wildcats have gone with choice B in Powell, Tennessee running back Dy'Shawn Mobley. The six-foot 205-pound power back has been tearing up the competition in the state of Tennessee this season.

Going into this week Mobley is only 400 yards shy of becoming the state rushing leading in the Volunteer state. ...

UK senior linebacker ranks 10th all-time on the Kentucky career tackle list

LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky senior linebacker Danny Trevathan has been named the Southeastern Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week for his impressive performance in Kentucky’s game against Georgia last week, the league office announce Monday.

As I write this, I'm watching the Arizona Cardinals defense play a stellar game against the 49ers early, while the Cards' offense had a total of -8 yards in the first quarter. It's good to know that Kentucky's offensive woes aren't a rare condition. On the other hand, both my favorite teams are really hard to watch sometimes.

So we've come down to the last week of the season. The bowl hopes are gone, the offense has been uber-stagnant the last couple games, and a giant orange monkey with a block ...

On most days, the defense could probably gain more yards.

Well, I said earlier today that Kentucky would lose by 40. But wait! I also said last week that the team would put up a fight. Which means a) I have no idea what the hell I'm talking about, and b) if you hedge enough, you will always be at least partially right. Stick with me, kiddos. You'll go places.

    So what happened? Well, ...

I have two small children, which means a large portion of my Saturdays are spent at random childrens' birthday parties. This is a fate akin to being tied down and smacked in the face repeatedly with a Nerf bat. Nearly every weekend, just when I think I'll finally have a chance to lay around in my pajamas, I hear the dreaded sound of "Honey, get ready. We have a birthday party to go to." Most days, I'd rather spend hours working in tobacco than going to one of these Godforsaken events. The one perk of today's ...

Valley,AL- DeVonta Staples has not many headlines in the recruiting scene for the most of the year. However, the under-the-radar safety from Valley,Alabama has had caught the attention of the Kentucky Wildcats, as well as they have caught his. The six-foot, 185-pound defender has already seen the Wildcats over the course of the year, but is planning to set up an official visit to the Blue Grass State here in the next few weeks or so. While he isn't sure of where he will eventually end up playing his college ball, Staples ...

After a team like Vanderbilt beats you by 30 points, all you want to do is just shift your entire focus into college basketball. But it’s not so easy anymore to do that. Not since Rich Brooks came into town and saved a program that could only dream of winning 6 games per year and turned them into a team that averaged 7 wins over his last 4 seasons. Kentucky fans have tasted glory and now want--nay FEEL entitled to be competitive and somewhat relevant. What happened to ...
