When I went to the Dominican practice on Friday, I figured something was up with television when I saw WKYT's Dave Baker in attendance.

Larry Vaught is reporting that WKYT in Lexington, WYMT in Hazard, and WBKO in Bowling Green will indeed televise the Dominican Republic and the Bud Light Pros in Rupp Arena tomorrow night.

There has been no official announcement as of yet, but ...

How Bad Does It Suck To Be a Louisville Fan?

    by
    Chris Minton

    content/attachments/7666-sucks.gif

I have to give a little credit where credit is due. Louisville fans are some persistent sons-of-guns. In these trying economic times, where the job market is iffy, the stock market is schizophrenic, and useful politicans are as scarce as hens' teeth, it's refreshing to know that we can always count on a Cards fan to be in denial about how bad their world sucks.

If a football team that barely finishes above .500 in the Big East isn't bad enough, the fact that the team has lost 4 straight to their in-state rivals surely adds some salt to the wounds. Now, add a philandering ...

Alex Poythress Taking Unofficial Visit to Kentucky Today

Alex Poythress, arguably one of the biggest risers from this summer's AAU circuit, is currently visiting Kentucky.

At one time, many people thought Poythress would commit to Vanderbilt due to him playing pickup games there a lot last year.

However, I have had two people tell me they think when it's all said and done, Poythress will be a Cat. Nothing is set in stone, but he could be the first ...

One of the top players in the state of Kentucky is right in John Calipari's back yard and he drove across town this week for an unofficial visit.

Jackson Davis, a 6'8" sophomore from Lexington Lafayette, and a rising star in the 2014 class, had already taken unofficial visits to Louisville, Cincinnati, Purdue, Xavier, and Indiana before his tour of the Kentucky facilities and it sounds like he enjoyed ...

The 2011 USA Men's World University Games Team (1-0) fought back from a first-quarter deficit and outscored Mexico (0-1) 65-30 in the second half to secure a 108-67 win in its opening game of the 2011 World University Games on Aug. 13 at the Universiade Main Gym in Shenzhen, China.

Led by 20 points and three assists from Ashton Gibbs (Pittsburgh/Scotch Plains, N.J.), every U.S. team member scored and grabbed at least two rebounds. Trevor Mbakwe (Minnesota/ St. Paul, Minn.) recorded a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds, Marcus Denmon (Missouri/Kansas City, Mo.) added 11 points and collected three steals, Orlando Johnson (UC Santa Barbara/Seaside, Calif.) contributed 10 points and three assists and Draymond Green (Michigan State/Saginaw, Mich.) finished with 10 points.

Darius Miller had 8 rebounds again, but only scored 2 points on 1-5 shooting in 19 minutes.

Here is video that shows opening ceremonies of the World University Games in China.
